The 2017 Cork Beginner Microblading Training Weekend couldn't have gone better. The whole weekend was amazing and the new Baltic Brows artists who emerged from the weekend are ones that I and the entire Baltic Brows family are so proud of. Day one of the three day event started with the arrival of the the 8 students, followed by some lite refreshments before introductions and then getting to know Irish MASTER Sinead Corcoran and the Baltic Brows brand. Next, the girls were given their full Baltic Brows kits, including full theory booklets, practise workbooks, Latex work sheet, colour wheels, Baltic Brows pigments, Micropblading tools, Golden Ration ruler and much more. The afternoon continued with the students all practising their drawing of individual hair strokes in their Baltic Brows workbooks. Under the watchful eye of Sinead, the girls were mentored and given constructive advice on how to improve their technique on paper before moving on to Latex. Day two started with more practise on the Latex work sheet, using the pigments and Microblading tools. The students really got a sense of how to apply pressure and pigment into the skin using the tools and techniques Sinead had demonstrated. In the afternoon, the students joined Sinead and a model for a live demo of Sinead's best practises and skills when Micorblading on a real model. The final day of the weekend saw the students progress to practising what they learned previously on the course. Each student set up their station under the hawk-like eye of MASTER Sinead Corcoran, as only the highest standard of safety and hygiene is practiced in Baltic Brows Academies. The group was broken into a morning and afternoon session so each student had a chance to assist and then practise Microblading on a live model. The students spoke to their models and understood their desired look for their final eyebrows. Then using their Golden Ratio ruler, Baltic Brows tools and techniques they carefully drew on the shape and style of the eyebrow. Sinead monitored this process and where it was needed helped students adjust these guidelines until both the student and model were happy. The students then mixed their pigments and using the Microblading tools applied the pigments to the skin, all under the watchful guidance of MASTER Sinead Corcoran. The first layers of the Microblading pigments act as a guide as they are quiet fine and light. Once these initial strokes were assed by Sinead, students were instructed to carefully apply the second layer of strokes and pigments. After the final layer of pigement was wiped away the students work was assed by Master Sinead Corcoran. The final work was shown to models who were all thrilled with their results. Fianlly each student had a private meeting with Sinead who went through the student work over the 3 days. Their work was assessed and it was only after careful consideration were they accepted in the Baltic Brows family as official Baltic Brows Artists and given their certificates. We are pleased to announce all work from this course was exceptional and all 8 students passed with flying colours. Congrats Baltic Brows Cork Academy 2017!
