The baltic brows conference - Sinead corcoran from beauty ink ireland attended and came home with an award!!
SO as most of you may know Sinead Corcoran from Beauty Ink Ireland made the trip to the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean at the start of this month. The trip which was meant to be a training week for Baltic Brows members turned out to be a bit of a whirlwind, with Hurricane Irma delaying the conference.
Sinead who owns Beauty Ink Ireland, which in in 17 salons nationwide, is a semi permanent make up professional and she has also trained to MASTER level with the Baltic Brows brand and has become the Baltic Brows MASTER for Ireland.
In May Sinead was asked to attend the Baltic Brows Conference in the Caribbean, where MASTERS from around the world give talks, demonstrations, review new products, educate each other on expanding techniques and build international bonds between the Baltic Brows community.
Unfortunately the 2017 Baltic Brows Conference had to be delayed by 2 days as Hurricane Irma based over the Caribbean. Some MASTERS had delayed flights, but Sinead had arrived ahead of the storm. Sinead along with a few other Baltic Brows MASTERS were escorted to a local Casino where they waited out the storm. 'It was all really well organised and we were taken care of brilliantly. Myself and the rest of the girls felt like we were at a sleepover, we told stories sang songs and talked through the night.'-said Sinead after she returned home safe.
"Once the storm passed we went back to the Resort and you could hardly tell there had been a storm. It was back to paradise and the conference went into full swing! All of the MASTERS arrived and we had conferences, talks and demonstrations for 10 hours a day. It was AMAZING!! I'm so excited to take students with me next year from my Baltic Brows Ireland Training days" - Sinead
On the last day of the conference there was a gala dinner and an awards ceremony. We are delighted to say that Snead received an award for her work as a Baltic Brows MASTER and her attention to detail in her semi permanent make and microblading techniques. It was the perfect to end the conference, its such an incredible feeling to know that your work is regarded to highly buy your fellow peers and people whose work you resect and admire.
We're so excited to share with you all of the techniques, products and skills that the conference has brought with it. Watch out for all of our upcoming blog posts for exciting news in the semi permanent make up world.

Women may be associated as worrying more about their appearances, but being self-conscious about looks isn’t only applied to XX chromosomes.
According to the American Hair Loss Association, two-thirds of men have thinning hair by the time they are 35, and 85 percent are thinning by 50 years old.
“Men care about this more than people know,” says Baltic Brows founder Sinead Corcoran, adding that currently there is little that can be done about it. “Hair transplant technology isn't always a guaranteed sure bet ” she says. There are 150,000 hairs on the average human head; transplants add 2,000 to 3,000 hairs and can sometimes leave scars.
Sinead’s micropigmentation skills fill in bald spots with a needle and ink, leaving that shaved-stubble look that she says is guaranteed to work.
Vincenzo Coni operates intricologic paramedical permanent makeup and has successfully developed a new technique of Hair pigmentation demominata "Scalppigmentation 3D". Unique of its kind allows for hyperrealistic results attention to the smallest detail and durable over time for both men and women. He teaches hair pigmentation at private schools and at his offices "Dermatrico Repair" of which he is Ceo Founder.
Sinead and Vincenzo are both Baltic Brows MASTERS and recently attended the Baltic Brows international Conference in the Caribbean together. Sinead is an expert in the Semi Permanent make up field and teaches Microblading and semi permanent make up in training classes around Ireland.
She loves seeing people’s natural reactions to their transformations and is grateful to be making a living helping others. 'A skill like Microblading doesn't just make men and women look more attractive, it also allows them to feel like the best version of themselves. That's why I love my job so much', Sinead from Beauty Ink Ireland.

These photos may initially make you laugh but really they serve a purpose. These are all real life women who went to have treatments with untrained non-professionals.
It breaks my heart to see these pictures because not only is it a horrible ordeal for these people it also damages the quality work that myself and other semi permanent make up artists do in Ireland on a regular basis.
If you are thinking of having a semi permanent make up treatment or Microblading, please get in contact with Beauty Ink Ireland. We are more than happy to show you our previous work and to answer any questions you may have.
Never go to anyone who you are not certain about their work. It may damage your health or permanently effect your skin. We at Beauty Ink Ireland use 100% disposable tools, as our clients safety and the quality of our work is our number 1 priority.
Beauty Ink Ireland prides itself on always delivering natural looks that match perfectly with your own hair and skin tone. We do this buy using multiple pigments and creating unique hair patterns to match with your hairs natural growth.
We offer consultations to make sure all your permanent make up questions are answered. We then book you in for your initial treatment but also suggest you return for a touch up in 4-6 weeks. The touch up allows you to add in additional pigments, clients usually find themselves wanting darker strands added at this stage as in the first appointment they wanted to err on the side of caution and go lighter.
There are many semi permanent make up artists and Microblading technicians doing amazing work in Ireland. These images show the more drastic side of work gone wrong. I strongly urge clients to research, research, research their chosen salon and ask as many questions as possible before selecting one to have their treatment done in.
Beauty Ink Ireland is in 17 salons across Ireland and we have multiple Microblading and semi permanent appointments and salons in Dublin and Cork to try and meet the ever growing demand for our clients.

We don't just do semi permanent make up for eyebrows, we also do lips. Here are some of the top facts about semi permanent make up for lips.
The tattoo doesn't just go around your lip like traditional lip-liner application. "I do an outline on the border of the lip, but I'm also shading the color down into the middle of the lip in a circular motion to give it more of a blended look," says Sinead. "I leave the interior part of the lip without color." It creates a natural light and shadow effect which gives the illusion of bigger and a more plumped pout.
The healing process takes about ten days. Sinead from Beauty Ink advises her patients getting lip tattoos to schedule the procedure for a Thursday, so they can let the swelling and dryness die down over the weekend. "The lips will look very dry and chapped as they heal," says Sinead. "The color gets lighter, and then as the skin heals, it comes back. You usually see the full, truest color after about two weeks."
Most places use pigment instead of traditional tattoo ink (which is why it fades). Years ago, permanent makeup was applied with regular tattoo ink. That's why it often looked so unnatural. "When you get a body tattoo, it's usually done with ink, which has a very watery consistency," says Sinead. "Pigment is thicker, so it gives that more natural powdery finish. But it does exfoliate out of your skin after 12 to 18 months. And since you eat and drink with your lips, it's going to happen faster."
We will be adding all permanent makeup events and work to this new beauty news blog, so keep checking in with us for all events.
