Thinking of attending our next Cork Microblading training course? See how our last Cork course went here..
Our latest set of Masterclass students attended our Cork course on April 15th. The class of experienced semi-permanent make-up Artists came from all around Ireland and learned new tips and techniques in Shading and Microblading.
The one day intensive training course was focussed on teaching advanced techniques in Ombre shading powder brows and hyper-realistic hairstrokes.
Baltic Brows MASTER Sinead Corcoran taught the practical class in the fabulous location of Coco College of Beauty in Ballincollig.
Students received their Baltic Brows kits and training equipment and were walked through the practical knowledge before practising under the watchful eye of MASTER Sinead Corcoran.
One of the many unique facts about Baltic Brows, is that we keep our classroom sizes small to ensure each student receives as much 1-to-1 time with their Instructor to ensure they are confident leaving the training.
Our next Cork Beginner Training weekend takes place on June 30th - July 2nd.
The 3 day course is aimed at beginners from any background and no beauty experience is necessary as the training is so intensive.
If you are thinking of attending one of our courses Baltic Brows offer 3 day Beginner Training in Microblading and 1 day Masterclasses for experienced technicians.

With so many years working in the Semi Permanent Make Up Industry her number question from clients is: DOES MICROBLADING HURT!? Here we let our clients explain what to expect from the treatment.
1)"Overall it's not a painful experience and the results are worth it! If you are someone who wants fuller brows, or if you've even over-tweezed, or if your brows just don't grow in certain spots, you should consider microblading. You won't have to fill them in for at least one year! The results are amazing!" - Sharon Healy, Tralee
2)"All in all, it's more uncomfortable than painful, although this will of course depend on your pain threshold. I find a full bikini wax is actually painful where as Microblading is no where near that level of pain. Just remember not to get freaked out by the noise!"
Laura McCarthy, Clonmel
3)"It's a strange feeling. Not sore but I was aware of it all the same. It's like a kind of light scratchy feeling. I didnt think it was painful. My eyes didn't water, but I wouldn't say it was relaxing either. I loved my results though and would recommend it. I've had it done 3 times now."
Orlaith Ford, Cork
4)"I found it sore but the day I had it done was the 1st day of my period and I'm always very sensitive around then. I should have rebooked my appointment but I was waiting to see Sinead for so long that I didn't want to reschedule. When I had my top up I didn't find it painful, but I was more relaxed and knew what to expect, which I think helped too."
Jenny Flynn, Dublin
5)"I'm terrible with needles. I think this made me very scared and tense. When I saw the equipment used though, it was not what I thought it would be. Much nicer and not like needles at all!! I felt a few scratches but not all of them. I relaxed after a few minutes and Sinead made me feel very calm. She's so funny and nice. I brought my sister the month after to have it done too."
Mia Pinko, Galway

If you’ve ever hired a professional painter they will tell you that “it’s all in the prep”. Professional painters know that they get the best results when they spend extra time sanding, filling holes, making sure edges are smooth and applying the right primer. Well microblading is very similar. You will get much better results when you properly prep. It all starts with a good canvas! The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive and non-irritated. Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure.

"Sinead's Microblading course is the best beauty course I've ever done"-Oslo student from Norway 2018 February course
If you are interested in learning to Microblade we have a Cork course coming up from March 24-26th. Recently we just finished a course in Olso Norway and it was BRILLIANT!
The 2018 Norwegian Baltic Brows class are an amazing bunch of women. The commitment and enthusiasm they brought to the classroom was fantastic. The pictures below will show their talents more than I can describe it here. Watch out Oslo you're eyebrows are about to become a whole lot more fierce!!
From start to finish. the students were eager to learn about the theory of Microblading, the history of Baltic Brows, health and safety and colour theory before moving onto the practical side of Microbalding.
Once the students were confident using the Baltic Brows method for achieving perfect brow shapes they moved onto their Latex sheets, using the Microblading tool and pigments. On the 2nd day there was a full practical demo from MASTER Sinead Corcoran where student could watch Microblading on a live model and ask questions as it took place.
On the 3rd and final day, students had a practical classroom where they utilised all of their neawly learned skills on live models. Master Sinead Corcoran was monitoring the whole process and made sure to check students work at all stages.
Once each student competed the practical assignment, Certificates were awarded and each student was added to the private Baltic Brows student aftercare group.

The 2017 Cork Beginner Microblading Training Weekend couldn't have gone better. The whole weekend was amazing and the new Baltic Brows artists who emerged from the weekend are ones that I and the entire Baltic Brows family are so proud of.
Day one of the three day event started with the arrival of the the 8 students, followed by some lite refreshments before introductions and then getting to know Irish MASTER Sinead Corcoran and the Baltic Brows brand.
Next, the girls were given their full Baltic Brows kits, including full theory booklets, practise workbooks, Latex work sheet, colour wheels, Baltic Brows pigments, Micropblading tools, Golden Ration ruler and much more.
The afternoon continued with the students all practising their drawing of individual hair strokes in their Baltic Brows workbooks. Under the watchful eye of Sinead, the girls were mentored and given constructive advice on how to improve their technique on paper before moving on to Latex.
Day two started with more practise on the Latex work sheet, using the pigments and Microblading tools. The students really got a sense of how to apply pressure and pigment into the skin using the tools and techniques Sinead had demonstrated.
In the afternoon, the students joined Sinead and a model for a live demo of Sinead's best practises and skills when Micorblading on a real model.
The final day of the weekend saw the students progress to practising what they learned previously on the course. Each student set up their station under the hawk-like eye of MASTER Sinead Corcoran, as only the highest standard of safety and hygiene is practiced in Baltic Brows Academies.
The group was broken into a morning and afternoon session so each student had a chance to assist and then practise Microblading on a live model.
The students spoke to their models and understood their desired look for their final eyebrows. Then using their Golden Ratio ruler, Baltic Brows tools and techniques they carefully drew on the shape and style of the eyebrow.
Sinead monitored this process and where it was needed helped students adjust these guidelines until both the student and model were happy.
The students then mixed their pigments and using the Microblading tools applied the pigments to the skin, all under the watchful guidance of MASTER Sinead Corcoran. The first layers of the Microblading pigments act as a guide as they are quiet fine and light.
Once these initial strokes were assed by Sinead, students were instructed to carefully apply the second layer of strokes and pigments.
After the final layer of pigement was wiped away the students work was assed by Master Sinead Corcoran. The final work was shown to models who were all thrilled with their results.
Fianlly each student had a private meeting with Sinead who went through the student work over the 3 days. Their work was assessed and it was only after careful consideration were they accepted in the Baltic Brows family as official Baltic Brows Artists and given their certificates.
We are pleased to announce all work from this course was exceptional and all 8 students passed with flying colours. Congrats Baltic Brows Cork Academy 2017!
